"Thank you Bernadette for your attentive and kind offer to make my postpartum time a bliss. The main thing it’s was so weak point of my life-early postpartum. And you came there like an Angel. I feel so much unstable body wise and mind wise. So my main point is that I don’t feel my body, abdominal, back and neck after night feeding and was afraid to do any movements, cause heard this is bad for early postpartum. "Bernadette gave me strategies through her therapeutic yoga practice to help me with my rheumatoid arthritis. In past yoga classes, I have had to modify the poses too much to feel comfortable in class. I have also had small group instruction in my home. However, again the point was to make me fit the yoga. "What an unexpected surprise - using yoga therapy to speed my mallet finger (torn tendon) recovery! At a time where medical doctors seem less and less personal and offer little to no advice outside of their immediate expertise, Bernadette offered a refreshingly new perspective on injury recovery. Learning how important breathing is at a physiological level to avoid stress response activation during recovery exercises (thereby prolonging recovery) was revelational, yet made so much sense!
